Over the years I have tried many different ways to get the work-life balance I craved.
One of the best ones I have come across is Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing has the potential to give mums (or anyone) the opportunity to spend time at home with my family whilst still making money.
In basic terms, affiliate marketing is the selling of other people’s products for a fee. The great thing about it is you can sell products without ever having to stock anything and without having to deal with postage/packaging/returns etc.
It sounds too good to be true… I know. But it really isn’t. And it is nowhere near as complicated as people think.
Start off easy
The easiest way to start out with affiliate marketing is by featuring products from Amazon, Etsy or eBay on your social media. You can share the links to products on your facebook profile or group or page and gain commission when others buy those (and other products within 24 hours) via your link.
Check out the eBay Partner Network and the Amazon Associates. Here you will gain access to affiliate links for thousands of products.
Create a website
The next way and best way to make money from affiliate marketing is with a blog or website. With your blog or website you can add the links and create content about specific products. The best way to do this is to choose a niche and then products related to this niche. So you could create a webite all about garden sheds, how to build them, tips on the best sheds etc and then in your blog posts you could add links to products such as sheds and tools.

If there is a particular brand you are interested in working with then go to their website and look at the bottom bar of their home page. It may have a link to an affiliate programme.
